As in the title really, just an option to the control panel to email the admin when a new version is available. Preferably with change log included.

You can see latest version available on your admin panel, in the footer, so you can go on customer area and download latest version (changelog is included).

Thanks, this is true but I don't log into the control panel every day so an email would make sure I know when to update.
Emails are sent only when important updates are released, because I don't want to bother my customers with emails, for all little changes.
