I tell you again, dereferer system is used to protect your website. Social networks like Facebook will have less power against your website (as long as your website doesn't appears on their traffic log). Also, for traffic exchange module, your users will see direct traffic on their traffic stats (better than traffic from social exchange website). Reasons are many, just search and you will find many answers.
