How do I remove so that users don't have be on the same tab where the youtube video is playing for the counter to continue count and reward them with points?

Hmm, when you watch a youtube video, there is a counter at the bottom that counts to 15. The problem is that it wont count unless you are on that tab. I want it to continue counting to 15 even though the user is browsing in a new tab.
